What is Biceps Tendinitis

This condition is an irritation or inflammation of the biceps tendon at the shoulder. The biceps tendon helps to stabilize the humerus and aids in activities that involve overhead motion such as tennis or throwing a ball.

Biceps Tendinitis Surgery

When all conservative measures are exhausted,  biceps tendinitis repair may be an effective solution. This minimally-invasive surgical procedure is used to repair a rupture or partial tear of the biceps tendon in the shoulder, or to treat chronic tendinitis. In this procedure, the Long Head of Biceps (LHB) tendon is reattached to the top of the humerus, relieving pain, discomfort and restoring stability and strength to the arm.
