Don't Let A Break Become An Extended Leave Of Exercise Absence

If you intend to let yourself take a little bit of a break from exercise during the week of the Fourth of July, or if you’ve taken a longer break than you were intending and want to get back into things once the holiday is over, then you need a game plan that can help you get there.  A new report out of Hawaii explains some steps you can take.

Your chances of sticking to a workout regimen actually increase if you write down when you’re going to work out.  It’s a lot harder to put something off if it lies there in your daily planner like an appointment you can’t miss.  Also think about getting other people involved; if you’re supposed to meet someone at the gym, you’ll be a lot less likely to beg off than if the entire workout was on you alone.
