Armin Arshi, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee conditions, including minimally invasive hip and knee replacement surgery. With advanced training from some of the nation’s leading orthopedic institutions, Dr. Arshi provides state-of-the-art, personalized care focused on helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they love.
A Southern California native, Dr. Arshi has dedicated his career to advancing the field of hip and knee surgery through a unique combination of engineering, research, and clinical expertise. His passion for innovation began at UCLA, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Bioengineering as a Regent’s Scholar and National Merit Scholar. His research in tissue engineering and biomedical device design earned recognition from the National Institutes of Health and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Dr. Arshi continued his education at the UCLA School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree through the Leaders of Tomorrow program on a full-tuition merit scholarship. He was recognized for his outstanding academic and clinical achievements and received the Stafford L. Warren Medal as the top graduating student in his medical school class.
He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at UCLA Medical Center, one of the nation’s premier orthopedic training programs, where he was selected by faculty and peers to serve as Administrative Chief Resident. Following residency, Dr. Arshi pursued advanced fellowship training in adult hip and knee reconstruction at the renowned Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Philadelphia, where he trained with leading experts in minimally invasive joint replacement and complex revision surgery.
Before returning home to Southern California, Dr. Arshi practiced at NYU Langone Health in New York City, where he served as an Assistant Professor at the NYU School of Medicine. During his time at NYU, he cared for thousands of patients, trained future orthopedic surgeons, and became a high-volume specialist in hip and knee reconstruction.
Recognized nationally for his expertise, Dr. Arshi has published more than 100 peer-reviewed research articles, authored textbook chapters, and contributed to surgical techniques that help advance the field of joint replacement. He regularly educates fellow physicians through national and international courses and serves in leadership roles with organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
Dr. Arshi returned home to Orange County in 2025 and joined Beach Orthopaedic Specialty Institute in Los Alamitos, California. He is committed to bringing world-class orthopedic care, advanced surgical techniques, and a patient-focused approach to individuals throughout Southern California.
