Dr. Jason Meldau is a fellowship-trained spine surgeon specializing in the comprehensive treatment of conditions affecting the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine. Dr. Meldau utilizes the latest advancements in spine care, including minimally invasive, motion-preserving, endoscopic, and robotic-assisted surgical techniques. While he is highly skilled in advanced spine surgery, he also emphasizes conservative treatment options whenever appropriate, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to help patients achieve relief without surgery whenever possible.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, graduating cum laude and receiving the prestigious Board of Trustees Award, before completing medical school at Michigan State University. He went on to complete his orthopedic surgery residency at Loyola University Medical Center, where he received extensive training in complex spinal disorders, followed by advanced fellowship training at the Spine Institute of Arizona, a nationally recognized center for minimally invasive spine surgery.
In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Meldau is actively involved in research and education. He has authored more than 20 peer-reviewed publications and delivered over 40 presentations at national and international conferences. Recognized as an emerging leader in orthopaedic surgery, he remains dedicated to advancing the field through innovation, collaboration, and continued learning.
