Matthew S. Kerr, MD is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction, with advanced expertise in total hip and knee replacement. He is dedicated to helping patients restore mobility, reduce pain, and return to the activities they enjoy through evidence-based surgical care and individualized treatment plans.

Dr. Kerr completed his Adult Reconstruction Fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Florida, where he received advanced training in complex hip and knee replacement surgery and modern joint reconstruction techniques. He previously completed his Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Orlando Health, one of the region’s leading orthopedic training programs.

Dr. Kerr earned his Doctor of Medicine, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Greenville, and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from Clemson University.

He is actively involved in orthopedic research, with multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on joint replacement outcomes, surgical techniques, and orthopedic trauma. His work has been published in leading journals including Arthroplasty Today, Injury, The Journal of Orthopaedic Trauma, and The Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Global Research & Reviews.

He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and the Florida Orthopaedic Society.

Dr. Kerr is trained in advanced joint replacement technologies and robotic-assisted systems, including MAKO, ROSA, and CORI platforms, enabling him to deliver highly precise and personalized joint replacement care tailored to each patient’s needs.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Kerr enjoys spending time outdoors—golfing, fishing, sailing, and cooking barbecue—and is a lifelong Clemson Tigers fan. He lives in West Palm Beach with his wife, Dr. Elaine Kerr, an anesthesiologist at the VA Medical Center, and their two dogs.
