Michael D. Burdi, MD, is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon and partner at Community Orthopedic Medical Group, specializing in the comprehensive management of cervical, thoracic, lumbar and sacral spine conditions. With expertise in both operative and non-operative care, he emphasizes minimally invasive techniques and motion-preserving procedures, including cervical disc replacement, with a focus on delivering targeted treatment in outpatient settings whenever appropriate.
Dr. Burdi earned his medical degree and a Master’s in Health Services Research from Stanford University School of Medicine, followed by an internship in general surgery and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of California, San Diego. He then completed fellowship training in orthopedic spine surgery at Panorama Orthopedics and Spine in Golden, Colorado. Board certified in orthopedic surgery with a spine focus, Dr. Burdi has been recognized as an Orange County Medical Association Physician of Excellence. His experience also includes serving on the clinical faculty at the University of California, Irvine, where he contributed to the education and training of orthopedic surgeons.
