 Dr. Milad Alam is a fellowship-trained, board-certified Orthopaedic Spine Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive spine surgery, motion preservation procedures, and advanced non-fusion treatment options. He is committed to providing personalized care, partnering closely with each patient to develop customized treatment plans that align with their unique condition, goals, and lifestyle. 

 Dr. Alam earned his medical degree from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital/University of Miami. He then pursued advanced fellowship training at the University of Southern California (USC) Spine Center, where he completed a combined Orthopaedic and Neurosurgical Spine Fellowship focused on minimally invasive and robotic-assisted spine surgery for adult degenerative spinal conditions. He further enhanced his training as a Visiting Spine Fellow at Bern University Hospital in Switzerland.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Alam served as Chief of Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Riverside Orthopedic Institute in New Jersey, where he helped establish a comprehensive spine program offering both surgical and non-surgical treatments for neck and back disorders. He also served as Associate Director of Spine Surgery at Hudson Regional Hospital, contributing to the development of an award-winning robotic spine surgery program.

A recognized leader in his field, Dr. Alam has presented at major national spine conferences and authored numerous peer-reviewed publications on spinal disorders and surgical techniques. He maintains active membership in several leading professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), AOSpine, and the North American Spine Society (NASS).
