We want you to feel confident in your diagnosis and treatment plan. That’s why we talk in-depth about your options and encourage your loved ones to stay involved before, during, and after your procedure. They are always invited to participate in all parts of the pre-op, surgery, and recovery periods, with a waiting area designed for their comfort.

Dr. Robert S Bray Jr is a board certified neurological spine surgeon with over 25 years in private practice and over 14,000 successful surgeries including some of the nations top performing athletes and celebrities. Dr. Bray is in-network with most insurance providers.
Dr. Grant Shifflett is an orthopedic spine surgeon with a focus on minimally invasive techniques. Dr. Shifflett specializes in golf back injuries and has published numerous articles on return to sports after surgery.
Dr. Rojeh Melikian is a Harvard and Emory University-trained orthopedic spine surgeon. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience from UCLA, Dr. Melikian went on to complete medical school at the University of Southern California.
Dr. Richard Kim earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from the University of California, Riverside. This followed with a Master of Science in biochemistry and neurophysiology. He earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri, graduating Magna Cum Laude.
Dr. Amer Khalil is a fellowship-trained neurosurgeon with a specialty in complex and minimally invasive spine surgery. His clinical interests include cervical and lumbar spine surgery (eg, sciatica), complex deformity surgery, scoliosis, lateral access, spine fractures, spinal cord injury, spinal tumors, spondylosis, and spondylolisthesis.
Hamid Mir, MD is a neurological spine surgeon, recognized globally for his thorough diagnoses and pioneering minimally invasive approach, is quickly redefining sports med.
A board-certified anesthesiologist with extensive training, Dr. Joseph J. Barrows serves as Medical Director of DISC Surgery Center at Newport Beach.
Dr. Michael Port, a double-board certified pain management specialist with extensive trauma experience, serves as medical director for DISC Sports & Spine Center, a role he has held since helping to launch the center alongside founder Robert S. Bray, Jr.
