Surprise Billing & Patient Protections
DISC Surgery Centers are committed to transparency and compliance with federal and state regulations, including the No Surprises Act. Patients receiving care at our facilities are protected from certain unexpected medical bills and have rights related to balance billing and cost transparency.
Information regarding billing protections, patient rights, and Good Faith Estimates for uninsured or self-pay patients is available upon request. Updated notices will be posted here as they are finalized.
If you have questions about billing or insurance coverage, please contact our team prior to your procedure.
Good Faith Estimates for Uninsured or Self-Pay Patients
Under the law, health care providers must give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and facility fees.
For scheduled services, we will provide a written estimate within three (3) business days of your request or scheduling.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill.
Non-Discrimination & Language Access
DISC does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex. Language assistance services are available for patients who need support communicating in a language other than English.
If your preferred language is not English, we will provide access to important documents such as Patient Rights, Grievance Policies, and Good Faith Estimates in your language.
Please notify our team if you require language assistance or auxiliary aids.
Patient Rights & Responsibilities
Patients receiving care at DISC Surgery Centers are entitled to respectful, safe, and confidential care. This includes the right to privacy, informed decision-making, and freedom from discrimination.

Patients may voice concerns or file complaints regarding care or services received. Please contact our office for assistance with the grievance process.
