Board-certified Anesthesiologist and Medical Director of DISC Surgery Center at Marina del Rey

Dr. Amy Shore is a board-certified anesthesiologist who serves as Medical Director of the DISC Surgery Center at Marina Del Rey. With nearly two decades of experience, she is highly trained in spine and orthopedic anesthesia. Dr. Shore is particularly skilled in treating perioperative pain and postoperative nausea and vomiting through the use of customized treatment plans tailored to each patient.

Meet Dr. Amy Shore

Prior to joining DISC, Dr. Shore was a staff anesthesiologist at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic as well as an attending physician at The University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she oversaw anesthesia residents. She was also part of the regional anesthesia team at New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.

Dr. Shore earned her bachelor’s degree in neuroscience at Lehigh University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. She then went on to medical school at LSU-Shreveport before completing her anesthesia residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital (Harvard University) in Boston.

Board certified by The American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Shore is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists and the California Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Shore was born in Camarillo, California. As the daughter of a Naval officer, she lived in multiple locations throughout her childhood (including Virginia and Puerto Rico), until her family settled outside of New Orleans, where she remained until leaving for college on a full academic scholarship. When she is not working, Dr. Shore enjoys hiking, making art and spending time with her family.
