Dr. Glenn C. Snyders Jr. is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Medical Director at DISC Carlsbad, where he focuses on delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centered anesthesia care for outpatient orthopedic and spine surgery. His practice spans the full perioperative journey, from careful preoperative evaluation and medical optimization through tailored anesthetic management, advanced regional blocks for pain control, and, when needed, critical care–level support.

Dr. Snyders’ clinical philosophy is that every case is unique and that each patient deserves thoughtful, deliberate consideration of their medical, surgical, and anesthetic history before entering the operating room. He places strong emphasis on listening to patients, understanding their concerns, and designing individualized anesthetic and pain-management plans that prioritize safety, comfort, and a smooth recovery. With particular expertise in anesthesia for orthopedic procedures, he is proficient in advanced regional anesthetic techniques and has led efforts in both military and civilian settings to develop protocols that enhance recovery after orthopedic surgery and reduce reliance on narcotics.
Throughout his leadership roles in Navy Medicine and at DISC, Dr. Snyders has remained committed to continuous improvement in patient safety and outcomes. He helped design emergency checklists for military medical facilities, has been recognized as a Patient Safety Champion, and continues to refine perioperative pathways so that patients undergoing surgery at DISC experience meticulous preparation, coordinated team care, and the best possible surgical experience.
