Hossein Aziz, DO, FAAOS is a board-certified spine surgeon serving patients at the Ventura and Camarillo locations. He specializes in minimally invasive and motion-preserving spine surgery, including spinal endoscopy and complex reconstructive procedures. Dr. Aziz treats the full spectrum of spinal conditions—from the base of the skull to the pelvis—addressing both acute and chronic issues such as herniated discs, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, degenerative disc disease, trauma, and spinal deformity.

Originally from Pittsford, a close-knit community in upstate New York, Dr. Aziz developed an early appreciation for meaningful personal connections—an influence that continues to shape his patient-centered approach to care. He earned his medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at a Level I trauma center and high-volume academic medical center in Southern California, where he gained extensive experience in complex orthopedic and surgical care.
Dr. Aziz went on to complete a prestigious AO Spine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, receiving advanced training in a wide range of techniques, from minimally invasive procedures to complex spinal reconstruction. His expertise spans cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine conditions, allowing him to tailor treatment options that prioritize safety, precision, and faster recovery.
At the core of Dr. Aziz’s philosophy is treating patients as he would his own family. He takes the time to listen, understand each patient’s goals and lifestyle, and engage in shared decision-making to develop personalized treatment plans—whether surgical or non-surgical—focused on restoring function and improving overall quality of life. Outside of medicine, Dr. Aziz is a devoted husband and proud father of two young boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, staying active through sports, hiking, traveling, and cheering on football games.
