About Dr. Leia Rispoli
Leia Rispoli, MD, is a double-board-certified interventional pain management specialist and physiatrist who embraces an empathetic approach and keen ability to listen to her patients while delivering them exceptional care. Employing innovative, non-surgical interventions and evidence-based treatments, she is able to restore her patients’ function and quality of life by reducing or eliminating their severe or prolonged pain.

Dr. Rispoli’s wide-ranging patient population typically includes those with chronic or acute pain of the low back, neck, head, peripheral joints and pelvic region, but she is highly capable of treating pain of any sort. She specializes in advanced neuromodulation (spinal cord stimulation) techniques, pelvic pain (both male and female), ultrasound-guided interventional procedures and regenerative medicine techniques, such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and stem cell therapy.
Dr. Rispoli received her undergraduate degree at Rutgers University, where she was co-captain of the Division-1 women’s soccer team and a National Athletic Honor Society member for four consecutive years. After earning her medical degree at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School, she completed her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital’s Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Dr. Rispoli’s interest in the treatment of pain led her to complete an interventional pain medicine fellowship under the Weill Cornell Tri-Institute Pain Fellowship program in New York City, where her rotations included New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Hospital for Special Surgery.
When she is not relieving patients of their pain, Dr. Rispoli enjoys spending time with her family or satisfying her passion for soccer, snowboarding and travel.
