Dr. Omar Rahman is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon fellowship-trained in sports medicine and shoulder surgery at the world-renowned Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic in Los Angeles, where he trained alongside surgeons for professional and Olympic athletes. He specializes in arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder and knee, advanced treatment of sports injuries, and regenerative orthobiologic therapies designed to optimize recovery, restore function, and help patients return to peak performance.​​

Introduction to DISC Sports & Spine Center

Dr. Rahman earned his Doctor of Medicine and MBA from Georgetown University, combining clinical expertise with a deep understanding of healthcare innovation and technology. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Lenox Hill Hospital-Northwell Health in New York City, where he served as Chief Resident, and went on to complete his sports medicine and shoulder surgery fellowship under the mentorship of Drs. Neal ElAttrache and Bert Mandelbaum at Kerlan-Jobe. His training focused on caring for elite athletes and active patients with shoulder, knee, and upper extremity injuries, using the latest minimally invasive and biologic treatment options.

Committed to advancing the field, Dr. Rahman serves as an invited editor for the American Journal of Sports Medicine and the Journal of Shoulder & Elbow Surgery, sits on the Virtual Reality Task Force Committee for the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, and collaborates with medical device and biotechnology companies on artificial intelligence, extended reality, and next-generation biologic therapies. He is a principal investigator on multiple research studies exploring cartilage regeneration and diagnostic innovations. His practice combines proven, evidence-based surgical techniques with emerging treatments that enhance recovery, longevity, and overall musculoskeletal performance, all tailored to each patient's goals and activity level.
