About Dr. Bittar

Dr. Tarek Bittar is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, trauma and joint replacement, specifically total knees. He is one of Santa Clarita’s foremost experts in complex knee ligament injuries, but is also adept in treating rotator cuff disease, providing arthroscopic fracture care and addressing the full scope of adult orthopedic conditions.

Meet Dr. Bittar

Behind Dr. Bittar’s excellent track record in treating musculoskeletal injuries is a passion for motion preservation. Employing both surgical and non-surgical techniques, his primary goal is to return his patients to action in the least invasive way possible by reducing their pain and restoring mobility. Dr. Bittar’s patients include elite athletes and weekend warriors alike, all of whom benefit from his commitment to keeping them informed and actively engaged in their recovery.

Dr. Bittar received his medical degree from Rush University in Illinois and completed his orthopedics residency at King Drew Medical Center, where he received The Milton Ashby Award for Orthopedic Resident of the Year. He completed his clinical fellowship in Sports Medicine at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center.

The author of published orthopedic research, articles and presentations, Dr. Bittar is board certified by The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is fluent in English, Arabic and Spanish.

When Dr. Bittar is not busy returning patients to action, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, who are all into sports. He is also an avid traveler who likes to sample foods from the different cities he explores.
