Dr. Roshan T. Melvani is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in adult hip and knee reconstruction, as well as shoulder and elbow surgery. He is dedicated to providing personalized, concierge-style care focused on treating each patient as he would a member of his own family. His approach combines advanced surgical techniques, compassionate communication, and a commitment to helping patients return to the activities and lifestyles they value most.
Dr. Melvani specializes in joint replacement and reconstruction procedures, including minimally invasive and muscle-sparing techniques designed to support faster recovery and reduced postoperative discomfort. His expertise includes anterior approach muscle-sparing hip replacement, subvastus and quadriceps-sparing knee replacement, and subscapularis-preserving shoulder replacement techniques. He utilizes advanced technologies, including computer navigation and robotic-assisted techniques, to optimize precision and outcomes for his patients.

Dr. Melvani is committed to advancing joint replacement care through research, surgical education, and the use of innovative techniques, including pneumatic broaching for anterior hip replacement and imageless navigation for knee replacement. He earned his BA/MD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at MedStar Orthopaedic Institute/MedStar Union Memorial Hospital, and pursued fellowship training in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic and shoulder and elbow surgery at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute.
He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. Dr. Melvani currently serves as an attending surgeon at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, Desert Valley Hospital, Victor Valley Global Medical Center, and Physician Surgery Center in Victorville, California. Outside of medicine, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, fitness, and philanthropy, including medical mission work and community service initiatives.
