This year, Dr. Bray performed two spine surgeries on famous motorcrosser Carey Hart.
Lumbar Artificial Disc Replacement
In the first surgery, Dr. Bray replaced a faulty disc in Carey's lower back with an artificial disc. Dr. Bray approached the disc through Carey's stomach, removed the damaged disc, then implanted an artificial disc. Carey had been experiencing nerve pain and immobility as a result of the bad disc; after the surgery, he noticed quick improvement:
Cervical Artificial Disc Replacement
About two weeks after his Lumbar ADR, Carey came back into DISC's surgery center to get another Artificial Disc Replacement surgery – this time in his neck. Drs. Bray and Mesiwala approached Carey's damaged disc through the front of his neck and again replaced it with an artificial disc. In the weeks since his two surgeries, Carey has reported a faster-than-expected return to normal life on social media: going on walks around his ranch, driving his tractor, and spending time with his family.
