DISC is pleased to welcome two superb doctors to our team, Drs. Neel and Puja Shah. The two doctors are a married couple who recently moved to Orange County from New York City. Dr. Neel Shah is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeon and Dr. Puja Shah is a Board-Certified Interventional Pain Medicine Specialist and Anesthesiologist.
A Power Couple on a Mission
Drs. Neel and Puja share a passion in improving patients' quality of life by solving back and spine conditions and alleviating debilitating pain.
For years, Drs. Neel and Puja have been in love with Southern California, especially Newport Beach. They were also aware of DISC's prestigious reputation as one of the top spine facilities in California. So naturally, when they learned of the opportunity to join the DISC team, they were thrilled.
The couple looks forward to basking in So Cal's relaxed culture, learning to surf, and taking their dog, Bodie, to the dog beach in Huntington Beach.
Puja Shah, MD, is a double board-certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain management specialist. She is also proud to be serving veterans as the current Chief Physician of Pain Management at the Long Beach VA Healthcare System. Approaching wellness from the inside out, she uses her intensive medical training and deep understanding of the mind-body connection to deliver comprehensive pain management care to her patients. Dr. Shah performs a variety of interventional procedures for spine pathology, headaches, inflammatory conditions and chronic nerve, joint and pelvic pain, among other ailments. Neel P. Shah, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic spine surgeon with specialized training in minimally invasive and microscopic surgery. He is committed to using the latest, most proven techniques as well as the least invasive treatment options possible. Taking an individualized approach to his patients, Dr. Shah guides them to make the best decisions possible for their unique circumstances with the goal of relieving pain, restoring function and returning them to an optimum quality of life.
