In the world we live in, stress is common.  It can be because of the news, the internet or just listening to the radio but bad news causes stress, raising the toll on our mental and physical health.  Dr. Michael Gervais delves into the topic for the Huffington Post.  World-class athletes understand that stress is required to make them more resilient and stronger--causing growth.  However, if that stress becomes chronic stress, health issues can arise.  There are ways to de-stress and stop the negative effects on our body and mind from it.  The first priority is managing the stress, and also to know what triggers it.  Breathing training can be an important aspect in finding ways to de-stress and can alter how we deal with our stress.
