A Road Trip Needn't Trip Up Your Health

If you’re driving a long distance at any point this summer, then you’ll want to make sure you stay healthy during that trip.  A recent report in the Seattle Times highlights some of the ways you might do so.

When you’re in a car for an extended period of time, your body doesn’t get the activity it needs.  You have to counteract this by planning ahead.  Rather than go for hours and hours without moving from your seat, make a pitstop every couple of hours.  Instead of just walking around during this pitstop, actually stretch for five or ten minutes, or even do a light jog to get your body moving.  This might not seem like much, but it can help your body dramatically on a lengthy trip.
