Use Caution When Weekends Are Your Only Exercise Opportunity

If you feel like you have no time to work out during the week, the temptation will be to fit everything in on Saturday and Sunday.  A new report highlights how weekend warriors can go about preventing injuries, and one of the big takeaways is not to push yourself too hard during those two days of intensive exercise.  It’s best to stagger your fitness throughout the week, as trying to shove it all in during a couple days can actually do more harm than good.

Some things common to all workouts are also important.  You should build in time for a successful warm-up and cool-down period on the front and tail ends of the exercise, and you should be willing to try new things to prevent overuse.
