After a decade in Colorado treating some of the most prominent athletes in the world, Dr. Peters returned to Orange County, California, where he utilizes his vast experience and expertise in minimally invasive orthopedic spine surgery to provide the VIP Patient Experience. Dr. Peters uses a highly individualized, personalized and comprehensive approach to spine surgical and non-surgical treatment and care, including patient education, patient history, and necessary lab imaging (X-ray, MRI, and CT scans).

 

 

Dr. Peters received his undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Allegheny University (Hahnemann Hospital), followed by a spine surgery fellowship (Shock Trauma) at the University of Maryland in Baltimore.


Committed to research and advancement of his field, Dr. Peters has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, conducts educational presentations on minimally invasive surgical (MIS) techniques, and dedicates significant time in research labs developing new procedures and medical technologies. He is also a member of the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (SMISS), North American Spine Society (NASS), American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the Colorado Medical Society, as well as the Western Orthopaedic Society. Currently, Dr. Peters is focused on MIS disc innovations and next-generation orthopedic products using human protein and growth factor materials for bone and tissue regeneration.

A self-described ‘foodie,’ Dr. Peters enjoys finding new restaurants to try and cooking at home.
